Further Education Award

The FE award was set up to recognise the achievements of young people who have undertaken Further Education on leaving school. It recognises the challenges they face and the enormous efforts so many invest in overcoming these to realise their dreams. It is a difficult task to choose a young person for this award as so many of our young people work so hard and achieve so much in this phase. The award recognises exceptional achievement for a young person and is awarded annually.

Megha Penumudi

Megha is an outstanding young person who has achieved amazing success in the face of many challenges. She works very hard at everything she does, whilst managing to be kind and engaging at the same time. She has worked, for two years, as a volunteer in a charity shop in her spare time.

She is a super role model and has provided mentoring and practical support sessions for younger students with hearing impairment. Having been a member of the student council at college, she gained Distinctions in her Business Studies course and is now in her first year of a Business Management course at Wolverhampton University. Everyone in the SIS team, who has worked with her over the years, agrees that she is a delightful student who thoroughly deserves this award.
